Prince of Persia for the NES (1992) is a 2D cinematic platformer where an unnamed adventurer must rescue the Sultan’s daughter from the evil vizier Jaffar. Set while the Sultan is away, Jaffar gives the princess 60 minutes to marry him or die. The player has one hour to escape the dungeons and defeat Jaffar.

The hero must battle an animated Skeleton!
Level 4 COMPLETE.
The hero jumps through a magic mirror and splits into 2 people!
Level 5 COMPLETE.
While traversing dangerous traps, the hero sees his doppelganger!
Level 6 COMPLETE.
The hero overcomes chasms, traps, and soldier guards per usual…
till he confronts his doppelganger and falls down a chasm…
Level 7 COMPLETE.
After meeting his doppelganger, the hero falls down the chasm
and survives a fall into a lower dungeon…
Level 8 COMPLETE.
After overcoming numerous dangerous soldier guards and traps, a little mouse helps the hero escape!
Level 9 COMPLETE.
Whoa! A perilous dungeon full of deadly traps, fierce emerald guards, and leaps of faith.

Level 10 COMPLETE.
Yikes! The Palace guard almost killed me!

Level 11 COMPLETE.
I’ve got to remember NOT to press the stepping stone that closes the portcullis!
Level 12 COMPLETE.
Ferocious and Savage Skeleton Guard battle!
Level 13 COMPLETE.
Final Battle with Jafar! (Prince of Persia the NES game box back cover spells his name as Jaffar, but who’s quibbling?)
After this, the hero can rescue the Princess!
Level 14 COMPLETE.
The Princess is saved!
Lovers unite.
Long live the Prince of Persia!
