The Alternate History of Mario by Mike Matei (2002) Starring James Rolfe

This was a class assignment I had in college. The project was to come up with an alternate history for a famous person. So I chose Miyamoto’s landlord which I had just read something about at the time. In this fictional reality, the landlord had become bitter over Mario becoming an international superstar. The character, played by James Rolfe see’s Mario where ever he goes. On television, on food products and even just walking down the street in his every day life. He can’t escape it! So he resorts to drinking alcohol, cursing up a storm and flipping off his TV!
It has been 20 years since I made this so I guess it’s the 20th anniversary of this video! 🤯
This has been uploaded before years back but in MUCH lower quality.
I did a new capture directly from the original VHS tape for this upload. So this is the first time the internet can see this video in its original glorious VHS quality. 🤣
